Finally, a blank map on the the U.S. drought monitor this week. That means none of the Commonwealth of Virginia is in a drought or even abnormally dry.

The last time we had a blank map like this was in December 2011.

More rain is on the way late in the weekend and the first of next week. Forecast models indicate .75” to 1.00” is possible through midweek. We may need to keep an eye on any rising creeks and streams.
